TITLE: TECHNOLOGY INTEGRATION SPECIALIST
CLASSIFICATION: COMPUTER TRAINING SPECIALIST
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. KY Teacher Certification
2. Familiarity with using technology as integral part of instruction
3. Demonstrated knowledge of varied instructional strategies.
4. Familiarity with Kentucky’s Core Content and Common Core Standards
5. Understanding of the teaching-learning process.
REPORTS TO:
District Technology Coordinator, School Principals
JOB GOAL:
To assist teachers in using technology to enhance learning for all students
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Assist district teachers in implementation of technology standards
• Coach/mentor district teachers and staff in educational technology
• Model, demonstrate and collaborate on effective instruction, incorporating technology
• Keep a global vision of technology use in the classes, labs administrative and teacher use
• Assist with curriculum planning to meet integration needs
• Develop a middle school to high school technology performance standard
• Research and choose a middle school technology performance evaluation tool
• Coordinate and teach technology integration classes after school hours and during the summer
• Coordinate and analyze eLearning Walkthroughs with district staff
• Maintain an inventory of software and hardware that is shareable for instructional purposes (i.e. cameras,
microscopes, subscription software)
• Recommend materials, resources and strategies
• Serves on the eLearning Steering Committee
• Participate in additional training workshops and conferences
• Attend TIS regional meeting, KTLC and/or KySTE fall or summer conferences
• Serve on the District Technology Committee
• Attend required district and school technology meetings
• Convey information from district meetings to school personnel
• Stay current with the emerging technology trends
• Promote network security and integrity
• Supplement the services of the District Technology Office
• Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
